Aston Martin V8 Vantage N400 Coupe
The Aston Martin V8 Vantage was first introduced in 2005 to compete head to head against the Porsche 911. It was the second car to be built at Aston Martins purpose built Gaydon facility. This iconic car used the same technology as its “Big Brother” the DB9 and was built around an aluminium riveted and bonded VH (vertical-horizontal tub). This front/mid engine two seat sports car was fitted with the all new 4.3 litre V8 engine producing an impressive 380bhp. This engine coupled with a six speed gearbox and rear transaxle setup made for one of the most balanced cars on the market with a near 50/50 weight distribution. With such impressive performance and reliability Aston Martin quickly established itself in the GT and Endurance racing series.
To commemorate the company’s racing success at the Nürburgring 24hr race, Aston Martin launched the limited edition N400 at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show. The N400’s 4.3 litre V8 engine was tuned to produce 400bhp and the car also featured a Sport Package which included lightweight wheels, uprated springs and dampers, N400 side sills and clear rear lights. In all Aston Martin produced 480 N400’s which were equally split between Coupe and Roadster.
The Aston Martin N400 Manual Coupe, No: 51 of 240, offered here at Autostorico is a 2008 “08 plate” which is finished in N400 Berwick Black with Obsidian Black leather interior.
