Ferrari 328 GTS

The Ferrari 328 was introduced at the 1985 Frankfurt Motor Show replacing the Pinifarina designed 308, with only minor revisions to the styling. These included a moulded bumper, a deeper rear valance and subtle roof spoiler for improved aerodynamics.  The interior featured improved seat covers, door cards, instruments, switchgear, heating and ventilation. The transverse mid/rear mounted V8 engine was a development of the 2,926cc unit from the 308 Quattrovalvole, bored out to 3,185cc and retaining the Bosch k-Jetronic fuel injection but with new Marelli electronic engine management, improvements which raised power from 245bhp to 270bhp. The 328 reaches 60mph in just 5.5 seconds and go on to a top speed of 170mph.

The Ferrari 328 GTS offered here at Autostorico is a 1989 “F plate” finished in Rosso Red with Cream leather interior.  Having covered a mere 30,191 miles this four-owner example was supplied new by Strattons (Wilmslow) Ltd. Purchased by its current owner in 2019 the car was entrusted to marque specialist QV London who carried out a major recommissioning service including the cambelts in April 2019 and 29,371 miles.
