Jaguar E-Type Series II FHC

The Jaguar E-Type Series II FHC offered here at Autostorico is finished in its original Old English White with Black leather interior trim.

Supplied new by Jaguar Cars of New York to its first owner on 24th August 1970, this car remained in America until 2014 when E-Type USA (UK) were asked to source an original no rust, matching numbers XKE for its current owner a Jaguar enthusiast to restore. Upon its return to the United Kingdom the car was given to renowned marque specialists Moss Jaguar for recommissioning with the intention of a full rolling restoration back to full UK specification.

The car was then converted to RHD by Rectory Classics using The Hudson Motor Company UK conversion kit, then followed a no expense spared comprehensive but sensitive restoration retaining originality and patina wherever possible.

The car was then subjected to a full mechanical rebuild including engine, gearbox, transmission, suspension, brakes rebuild by Moss Jaguar, with Hardy Engineering Ltd providing the rebuilt 3.07 IRS with the factory optioned limited slip differential. The car also was converted to full UK spec with new Burlen HD8 SU carburettors and UK air system.

Other notable works included a complete interior re-trim, new wiring harnesses, new glass, period radio, new MWS wheels and tyres, Bell Stainless Steel exhaust system and a full re-chrome of all exterior parts.

The final part of the restoration was stripping of the whole body, before a complete 455 hour bare metal OEM respray by Croydon Classic Cars completed in March 2021 with the total restoration cost exceeding £109,000.

This stunning car is now in fantastic condition and also benefits from a complete OEM Jaguar tool kit and jack. It just returned from Moss Jaguar having had a full major service and new MOT and it is now ready for its new owner to drive away.

Events, adventures and celebrations are underway to mark the E-Type 60th anniversary for the most beautiful car ever penned. 2021 and this wonderful series ll E-type is ready to take you in style to many of the wonderful events that this car would be welcomed to.

This is one of the best E-Types we have ever driven and will certainly continue to appreciate further over time.

It is offered for sale with a current V5 registration document and a comprehensive history file containing numerous invoices, heritage certificate and a photographic record of its entire restoration over the last six years.
