Land Rover Series IIA 'SWB'

The Land Rover entered production in 1948 with the car officially launched at the Amsterdam Motor Show. It was originally designed for farm and light industrial use with initial production only planned for a couple of years. This is where the Best 4 x 4 by far started its life with the resulting design becoming an icon and launching the whole industry 4 x4 sector. The Series IIA is considered by many to be the most hardy model built. Produced between 1961 – 1971 the IIA offered both a petrol and diesel engine option.

The Land Rover Series IIA SWB  offered here at Autostorico is a 1971 2.2 litre, petrol example finished in Blue with Black interior. Purchased by its current owner a Land Rover enthusiast in 2010. He undertook a complete restoration. The work was carried out by the well-known and respected Land Rover specialist FW 4 x 4. A large amount of time and money has been spent rebuilding this stunning car to its current excellent condition. Works have included; New galvanised chassis, respray, Mechanical overhaul including suspension and braking system, new tyres fitted, hood and frame replacement and comprehensive service.

Supplied with a current V5 registration document and a file containing numerous invoices.
