Porsche 997 Carrera 2 Tiptronic Convertible

The Porsche 996 was the first water cooled example and ushered in a new era for the 911. The 997 had the opportunity to evolve performance and luxury to create what Porsche deemed the ultimate sports car. The most significant changes were to the interior and exterior styling. The 997 had larger 18” alloy wheels, revised front lights and the engineering changes included an increase in power. Powered by a 3.6 litre flat-six cylinder engine, producing 321bhp propelled the 997 from 0-60 mph in just under 5 secs and onto a top speed of 180 mph.

The Porsche 997 Carrera 2 Tipronic  offered here at Autostorico is a 2008 “08 plate” and is finished in Basalt Black metallic with Black leather interior. Having covered a mere 32,522 miles this four-owner example has just had a full Hartech engine rebuild just completed with capacity increase to 3,900cc producing 360bhp and higher torque – there is a dyno sheet with receipts to confirm the work completed. It also has recently had discs and pads fitted all round and four new tyres in June 2020.
