Volvo P1800 E Coupe

The Volvo P1800 E offered here at Autostorico was first registered on 7th May 1970 and was supplied by Brooklands Motors of Ipswich. Finished in Red with Black interior trim this lovely example has covered an indicated 87,123 miles.

Bought from its second owner in 2002 the car was exported to South Africa and it was used sparingly. Sold to its current owner a British businessman living in Cape Town in 2016, he undertook a no expense spared comprehensive but sensitive restoration retaining originality wherever possible. Work was carried out by Zerwick Automotive Engineers of Knysna South Africa.  Work started with the removal of the engine, gearbox and other mechanical components ready for stripping the body. Several new panels were fitted prior to a bare metal respray. The car has also been subject to full mechanical overhaul including engine, gearbox, braking and suspension system.

The car was brought back to the UK, by its current owner,  in September 2020 and  it has  just undergone a full pre-sales check over at marque specialist Wilde Classics.

Supplied for sale with a history file including a photographic record of its restoration, various invoices, its original handbook and service voucher booklet and other related material.

This stunning P1800 E should prove to be an astute investment, due to relative scarcity on British roads and distinctive styling.

Viewing strictly by appointment only.
